Who Are We?

We are Cornell’s first organization for intellectual property! Through case competitions, consulting with startup clients, and hosting educational events, CIPEC deepens community and creators’ knowledge in IP. We cover a diverse set of interests across our project portfolio, allowing members to further their interests and explore new passions. After a brief educational IP initiation series, new members will work directly on our current projects in collaborative teams with club peers. CIPEC develops our motivated members’ skills across IP research, legal analytics, and public communication. From building connections with legal professionals to preparation for law school or real-life IP consulting experience with startups, we prepare members for their unique future endeavors. But most of all, CIPEC is a welcoming community that prioritizes social bonding among members.

Cornell Intellectual Property and Ethics Club

Established in Fall 2020 as Cornell’s first organization centered around IP, CIPEC has an extensive project record and a close community atmosphere. All students are welcomed in our club, regardless of field of study or IP experience.
